Yuri van Geest is an entrepreneur and futurist passionate about strategy, innovation, mobile internet and Singularity. As the founding CEO of the Singularity University Netherlands, the Dutch Ambassador and double alumnus of the exclusive Singularity University of NASA and Google HQ in Silicon Valley.
His main focus is on the latest developments in the fields of biotechnology, nanotechnology, neuroscience, artificial intelligence and robotics. Van Geest believes that our environment is changing exponentially, mainly driven by exponential technologies and globalisation forces. As a result, he claims the world is becoming increasingly open and transparent and therefore changing from a world of scarcity to a world of abundance.
In addition to his founding role, he is co-author of the Amazon best seller “Exponential Organisations.” The book has been translated into 15 languages including Chinese, Japanese, English and Spanish. It examines not only the revolutionary elements of ExOs but also scrutinizes how these characteristics and attributes can be implemented to form organisations based on these principles.
Within his own company, Trend 8, he works for various international companies, such as Huawei, P&G, the Vodafone Group, Adidas Global, Philips Global, Samsung, MIT, and Google.
